
Gladiators star Falcon leaves staggering sum in her will after dying aged 59 last year following cancer battle
The star – whose real name was Bernadette Hunt – passed away after battling cancer for ‘a number of years’.
The star appeared on the iconic show from its second series in 1993 and remained an integral part of the programme until it ended.
She left nearly £300,000 to her family in her will, probate documents seen by The Sun have now revealed.
Bernadette left £444,000 in her estate which was reduced to £293,000 once debts and costs were removed.
‘She had been battling cancer for a number of years until sadly she lost the fight. RIP Bernie.’
Bernadette’s death was announced by her sister’s partner Rick Jango in a statement on social media, as he paid tribute to one of ‘the loveliest people’ he knew
The couple confirmed in a response to a tribute that the funeral would be private and family only.
Bernadette’s sister Carol wrote: ‘My beautiful sister was the best kind of human being on this earth.’
Her co-star Suzanne Cox, who was better known as Vogue, shared her condolences online, saying with a crying emoji: ‘I found out a few days ago.’
Another of he co-stars, James Crossley, also known as Hunter, shared a picture of Bernadette and wrote: ‘A beautiful soul. Rest well.’
‘Bernadette entered the arena as ‘Falcon’ during the second series in 1993 and instantly became a firm fan favourite. She stayed with the show until its final series in 1999, becoming the second longest-serving female Gladiator.
‘Falcon was also a champion bodybuilder, winning the first competition she entered Miss Natural Health in 1992. She went on to win other titles including Miss Novice Britain, Miss London and Home Counties 1992 and Miss South Britain.
‘Many fans will remember Falcon as the most lovely, warm, generous person with a beaming smile! Our Gladiator family is truly heartbroken with our loss of Bernie.
‘Please respect the privacy of Bernadette’s family at this sad time.’
The 62-year-old was a huge TV star as Warrior in the hit Saturday night show but fell from grace after he was jailed over a police corruption plot involving drug baron Curtis Warren and a detective chief inspector.
The popular 90s programme ran for eight series on ITV from 1992 until 2000, but the BBC has since confirmed it is reviving the show.
