Carlos Alcaraz has addressed the recent three-month suspension of fellow tennis professional Jannik Sinner, who tested positive for the banned substance clostebol. Sinner’s suspension, effective from February 9 to May 4, 2025, follows an agreement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) after an initial ruling of “no fault or negligence” by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) was appealed.
When questioned about Sinner’s absence and its potential impact on his own ranking, Alcaraz remained focused on his personal objectives. He stated, “The truth is there’s little to say. Whether he is there or not doesn’t influence us.
