He replaces Darvin Ham, who got fired after losing to the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs, despite the fact he has never been a coach at professional level – having worked as an analyst since his pro career finished.

James, 39, had reportedly spent months pushing Redick in the direction of the Los Angeles Lakers, so it is strange to see that the NBA icon’s own wife has reacted to the news of his appointment before LeBron did.
LeBron’s wife Savannah took to social media to ‘like’ the post announcing Redick, which is more than her NBA star husband managed. He is yet to post anything on social media accounts, which only adds to speculation regarding his future, which remains up in the air as he approaches his 40th birthday.
