Contract talks yet to progress for Crystal Palace striker
Jean-Philippe Mateta and Crystal Palace are yet to make any progress over a contract extension, the South London Press understands.
The French striker has had a stellar 2024, netting 19 times so far in all competitions.
He scored 13 times under Oliver Glasner at the end of the 2023-24 season and was called up to Thierry Henry’s France side for the Olympics, scoring five goals as they made the final and picked up a Silver medal.
The former Lyon and Mainz forward has put himself under consideration by Didier Deschamps for the senior France squad due to his heroics during the Olympic
Games.
