The Atlanta Dream are fighting for a spot in the WNBA playoffs, and their next two opponents won’t make it easy.
On Friday, the Dream will take on Brittney Griner and the Phoenix Mercury, and on Monday, August 26, they will host Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
A few days prior to the Dream vs. Fever matchup, Atlanta has already revealed big news about the Eastern Conference clash.
The Dream announced that they have nearly sold out of tickets. The game is taking place at State Farm Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks, so they have sold nearly 17,000 tickets with Clark coming to town.
They also added that this game will be the highest-attended WNBA game ever in the state of Georgia, adding yet another record to the former Iowa Hawkeyes’ resume.
The Dream are sitting just one game behind the Chicago Sky for the eighth and final playoff spot. They have drawn closer to the Sky after going on a three-game win streak since returning from the Olympic break.
