In a shocking turn of events, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced their disbandment, effective December 1, 2025. The iconic rock band, known for hits like “Under the Bridge” and “Californication,” is restructuring and pursuing solo music projects.

The announcement, made through their official social media channels, cited a desire to explore new creative directions individually. “We’ve decided to close this chapter and pursue solo endeavors,” the statement read. “Thank you to every fan, collaborator, and believer for being part of this journey.”

The band’s decision comes after a tumultuous year, with guitarist John Frusciante announcing his departure in October 2025, citing creative tension and emotional burnout.

Prior to the disbandment announcement, the Red Hot Chili Peppers had unveiled their highly anticipated 2026 world tour schedule, dubbed the “Unlimited Energy Tour 2026.” The tour was set to span continents, including Asia, North America, Europe, and South America, with stops in major cities like Los Angeles, New York, London, and Tokyo.

Confirmed tour dates include:

– May 15-16, 2026: Los Angeles, CA – Staples Center

– June 10-12, 2026: New York City, NY – Madison Square Garden

– July 10-12, 2026: London, UK – Wembley Stadium

– August 5-6, 2026: Tokyo, Japan – Tokyo Dome

Tickets were expected to go on sale in early March 2026, with presales available through the band’s official website and authorized ticketing partners.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ legacy as one of the most influential rock bands of all time remains unchallenged, with a career spanning over four decades and numerous iconic albums.
