Serena Williams introduces her daughter on Instagram
“I present to you Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr”: the American tennis player, Serena Williams, revealed on Wednesday the first images of her daughter, born September 1.
Absent since the end of January and her victory at the Australian Open, Serena Williams revealed in April that she was expecting her first child. The message posted Wednesday by the 35-year-old player is accompanied by a photo of her and her daughter, as well as a video of just over 2 minutes which retraces the nine months of pregnancy experienced by the ex -No. 1 worldwide, from the first ultrasound until leaving the clinic. The little girl, born September 1 in Florida, weighed 3.1 kg, according to the announcement which ends the video.
He points out that the child already has a Grand Slam title. A sequence filmed in Melbourne shows Serena holding the trophy in front of the photographers and whispering “this is my baby”. The caption explains that “no one knows then that I am eight weeks pregnant”.

She also doesn’t hide the inconveniences of pregnancy, including swollen ankles. The first image of the baby comes at the end of the video, shortly before leaving the clinic, six days after birth.
