Tadej Pogačar, the Slovenian cycling sensation, has once again etched his name into the history books by winning the 2025 edition of Strade Bianche. Known for its challenging gravel roads and picturesque Tuscan landscape, the race is often described as the “Sixth Monument” of cycling. Pogačar’s victory not only reinforces his status as one of the sport’s greats but also showcases his versatility and tactical brilliance.
Right from the start, Pogačar seemed determined to control the race. As the peloton approached the gravel sectors that define Strade Bianche, he made a decisive move, launching a blistering attack on the penultimate sector. His acceleration left even the most experienced rivals struggling to respond. By the time he reached the iconic final climb into Siena’s Piazza del Campo, Pogačar was alone, his lead unassailable.
This victory marks Pogačar’s second triumph at Strade Bianche, making him one of the few riders in history to win the race multiple times. His performance was a masterclass in both power and strategy, blending seamless transitions between the gravel sectors and the asphalt while managing his efforts impeccably.
Speaking after the race, Pogačar credited his team for their support and expressed his love for the event. “Strade Bianche is a special race — the gravel, the atmosphere, the history. Winning here again is incredible,” he said.
At just 26 years old, Pogačar’s palmarès continues to grow impressively, including two Tour de France titles and numerous other prestigious victories. As the cycling season progresses, all eyes will be on the Slovenian prodigy to see what heights he can reach next. One thing is clear: Tadej Pogačar is far from finished rewriting the history of the sport.
