It is mostly assumed that adventure sports like paramotoring or paragliding are more suited for younger people. However, now an old woman, just shy of 100 years, has shown that age is just a number when it comes to following one’s adventurous spirit. A week ago, Pune’s Flying Rhino Para motoring, an adventure sports company shared a video that showed a 97-year-old woman dressed in a saree going on a Paramotoring trip. This video gathered over 5,000 likes on Instagram. It soon began circulation on other social media platforms as well.

On Thursday, industrialist Anand Mahindra shared this video on X, and saluted the fitness and spirit of the elderly lady. He wrote, “It’s NEVER too late to fly. She’s my hero of the day…” Mahindra’s post gathered over 1.1 million views and over 30,000 likes.
In the comments, many people applauded the woman. A person wrote, “Age is just a number, and this video of an old lady fearlessly embracing paragliding proves it! Her spirit is a reminder that adventure knows no bounds. Let’s all find inspiration in her courage and zest for life!”
