Trade Decline: Anthony Walker Jr turned down $350 million contract with Miami……

Anthony Walker Jr. Taking His Talents To South Beach to Join Miami Dolphins

The Anthony Walker Era in Cleveland is over as the linebacker signs a deal to join the Miami Dolphins

He came to Cleveland after an amazing first contract with the Indianapolis Colts where he was a staple of that defense. He joined the Browns on a one-year contract, one that gave Cleveland a piece that they needed to try and make a playoff run with then loaded roster.

Walker and the Browns again agreed on a one-year deal in 2022. This was going to be his year and he got off to a great start. But, in week three in front of a National Thursday Night Football audience, he suffered a horrific leg injury against Pittsburgh that put him on the shelf for the entire season.

Returning from injury in 2023, the Browns and Walker again finalized a one-year deal for him to return for one last go around. Again, the season was off to a great start until Walker suffered a hamstring injury again against the Steelers. He would fight injury all year long until he was finally finished after arthroscopic knee surgery in December.

Walker’s career in Cleveland ended with 170 tackles over 28 games spanning three seasons. Not the result that either party wanted in the end.

Walker moves on to Miami on a one-year contract to play for his hometown team. The signing of Walker was the first positive signing for the Dolphins of this offseason as they lost some key pieces early on.

As long as Walker stays healthy, he still has a lot of good footba

ll left in him.
