About Kawhi Leonard
Leonard joined the Los Angeles Clippers as a free agent in July 2019 on a three-year, $103 million contract. He signed a four-year, $176.3 million extension in August 2021 and inked another three-year, $152.4 million deal in January 2024.
The small forward, who was named the NBA Finals MVP in 2014 with the San Antonio Spurs and again in 2019 with the Toronto Raptors, missed the entire 2021-22 season with a knee injury.
Leonard left Nike’s Jordan Brand to become the face of New Balance’s basketball division in 2018.
He later sued Nike in 2019 over usage of his “Klaw” logo, claiming he designed it. A federal judge sided with the sportswear giant in 2020.
Leonard is a six-time All-Star and two-time defensive player of the year; he also won the 2020 All-Star Game MVP Award.
