During WWE Raw on Monday night, CM Punk and Jey Uso finally came face-to-face ahead of their highly anticipated clash for the vacant world heavyweight championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Uso, still reeling from his title loss, appeared to spiral further down a reckless path. Punk, ever the provocateur, used his time in the ring to test Uso’s composure before their match. The exchange was short, fiery, and more symbolic than substantive, as both men promised to give everything to capture the top prize.

Punk and Uso Go Face to Face Before the World Heavyweight Title Match

Punk questioned how far Uso was willing to go, emphasizing that he wasn’t the only one desperate to reclaim gold. Uso responded confidently, saying he had “swum in deep waters before” and would do so again when facing Punk.
Later in the show, Jimmy Uso confronted Jey about being eliminated from last week’s battle royal, which decided Punk’s challenger for the vacant title. The tension seemed to fade later in the night when Jey promised Jimmy that he hadn’t changed, convincing his brother to have his back again.
Despite the emotional moments, the episode failed to deliver significant developments. The go-home show lacked energy and purpose, with the Punk–Uso segment doing little to raise anticipation.
