
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he will meet U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, D.C. on Friday. The visit will focus on air defense and long-range military support for Ukraine.
Speaking in Kyiv, Zelenskyy said he hopes the talks will secure stronger defense aid.
“I hope I’ll have the possibility to come to Washington and meet the U.S. president,” he said.

Trump recently said he is close to deciding on sending Tomahawk cruise missiles. Zelenskyy requested them in late September.
Putin’s Warning
Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that sending Tomahawks would “destroy” U.S.-Russia ties and trigger a new level of escalation.
