In 1975, Pastor Hagee founded The Church at Castle Hills, which later became Cornerstone Church. Under his leadership, the church adopted Pentecostal beliefs, including biblical literalism, speaking in tongues, divine healing, the prosperity gospel, and absolute opposition to abortion. Despite these controversies, Pastor Hagee has remained steadfast in his beliefs and commitments.
In 2006, Pastor Hagee founded Christians United for Israel (CUFI), a Christian-Zionist organization that has grown to become the largest pro-Israel group in the United States, with over 10 million members. His unwavering support for Israel has been a cornerstone of his ministry, reflecting his interpretation of biblical mandates.
Throughout his ministry, Pastor Hagee has faced health challenges. In 2008, he underwent open-heart surgery, and in 2020, at the age of 80, he tested positive for COVID-19. Despite these health scares, he has continued his pastoral duties and leadership roles.
Pastor Hagee’s resilience in the face of personal and professional challenges underscores his dedication to his faith and congregation. As of now, he remains an active and influential figure in the Christian community, with no indications of stepping down from his ministerial responsibili
