Anthony Volpe Worst Moments Of His Career….

New York Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe was not happy with how his first season with the Bronx Bombers turned out, describing his debut campaign as “frustrating.”

“We just have standards that we set for ourselves as a team and individually and I don’t think anyone felt like we came even close to reaching that,” he told reporters on Thursday, according to SNY Yankees.

“That’s frustrating, but … I feel like it’s even more motivating, so I feel like everyone is in on the same thing going into this offseason and we want to make next year special.”

Volpe’s frustrations aligned with comments from teammate Aaron Judge in September. The Yankees captain referred to last season as a “failure” that felt like a “dragged-out, painful death” before the Yankees missed the playoffs with an 82-80 record.

Judge promised Yankees fans he would help get things fixed, while owner Hal Steinbrenner recently said “everything is on the table” for the Bronx Bombers in free agency.
