Dallas Cowboys 30 Visit for Draft’s ‘Best LB’; Junior Colson Target in Round 2
Could the Dallas Cowboys look to add Michigan Wolverines linebacker Junior Colson in this month’s draft?
With how inactive the Dallas Cowboys have been in free agency, one can only hope that they have a stellar draft to make up for it.
One of the Cowboys’ biggest positions of need is linebacker, and they’ve been doing their due diligence ahead of this month’s draft. On Friday, they hosted Michigan Wolverines star Junior Colson, one of the top linebackers in the class, for a visit, and he even posted on Instagram to celebrate the visit.
LB Junior Colson is on his 30 visit with the #Cowboys. Some consider the Michigan man to be the top linebacker in the class 🤟
Described as “a bonafide run-stopper” by DallasCowboys.com, Colson is widely-seen as one of the top linebacker prospects in this draft. He’s likely to be a Day 2 selection, and if he’s available for the Cowboys at No. 56 overall, he could be the go-to pick.
Even after signing Eric Kendricks in free agency, linebacker remains a position of need for Dallas. Him being a run-stuffer makes him a very compelling target, as the Cowboys were gashed on the ground far too many times last season.
