Toronto Maple Leafs’ Ilya Lyubushkin welcomes new baby girl amid playoff series joy
The Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin and his wife, Diana, are now a family of five after she gave birth to a new member.
Their first daughter arrived on Thursday, coinciding with the Maple Leafs’ intense first-round series against the Boston Bruins. Despite the playoff excitement, they posted their joy on social platforms for the fans.
Diana Lyubushkin posted a photo on Instagram that shows her introducing their baby girl to the world.

Ilya Lyubushkin expressed his happiness on Instagram, captioning a photo with the words:
“Daddy’s daughter. thank you my beloved @lyubushkina92_di you are the best.”
The couple already has two sons, Matthew and Miroslav, who often appear on Ilya’s Instagram.
During the 2022 playoffs, he was key for the Maple Leafs in their series against the Tampa Bay Lightning, appearing in all seven games. Though the team was defeated, he was praised for his performance.
Since rejoining Toronto, Ilya Lyubushkin has tallied four assists in 19 regular-season games and one in three postseason games.
