Sean Dyche speaks out on Everton transfer plans amid takeover uncertainty
The Everton boss gave an insight into the club’s plans for the summer amid continuing chaos around a possible takeover
While the Blues were able to secure Premier League safety despite a cumulative eight-point deduction for two breaches of Profit and Sustainability Rules, it is anticipated the club will need to cash in on some key assets to balance the books this summer.
That also means it’s unlikely the club will spend massive amounts when the transfer market opens, giving Dyche and director of football Kevin Thelwell a challenging brief. Everton also have a number of players out of contract in the coming weeks, including club captain Seamus Coleman and star midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

However, when the amount of players who could potentially leave the club were listed to Dyche in his press conference on Thursday, the Blues boss suggested the team had put themselves in a decent position to convince players to extend their stay or sign up.
“That bit is easy – and great fun it is too,” joked Dyche when asked about the work that needs to be done in terms
of recruitment.
