The Celtics are almost done with the regular season, but they still have five games left as they look to keep adding to their league-best record. They have three players listed on the injury report ahead of the 6 p.m. Sunday game against the Blazers at TD Garden.
Jayson Tatum (right knee contusion) and Jaylen Brown (left hand sprain) are both questionable. Jaden Springer is also questionable with left knee tendinopathy. It’s no surprise Brown and Tatum are listed as the C’s are going to get them rest for the final stretch of the regular season.
Notably, Derrick White is no longer on the injury report after missing the Kings win with low back contusion. Brown is also still listed with the hand sprain, though it doesn’t sound like anything concerning. But C’s coach Joe Mazzulla said they’re managing the injury even if it’s not serious.
With the Celtics already clinching the league’s best record, there isn’t much to play for down the stretch of the season. But they can still get some valuable game reps as they prepare for the playoffs later this month.
