Georgia Has One Of The Most Outstanding Position Groups in College Football..

The key to surviving in the SEC is having a strong running back room. Georgia doesn’t need to pay attention to that lecture, because Kirby Smart can bring in plenty of skilled ball carriers.
With the aid of the transfer portal, the Bulldogs will once again have depth at the position going into the 2018 year. Trevor Etienne moved from Florida to join a program that has won two of the previous three CFP National Championships..
Georgia’s running back room sticks out to Bleacher Report’s David Kenyon, who crowned it the best in the SEC
Ole Miss would’ve held a larger spot in the discussion, but a knee injury has complicated Logan Diggs’ outlook in 2024,” Kenyon wrote. “Although the Rebels will be fine without him, their ceiling is lower now. Georgia isn’t a flashy pick and doesn’t have as much potential star power. It’s a reliable offense, though.”
Etienne is a significant addition, joining Roderick Robinson II and Branson Robinson. He rushed for 719 yards and six scores as a freshman on 118 carries in 2022. He followed that up by logging 753 yards and eight touchdowns on 131 carries last season for the Gators. The Bulldogs have a bevy of bodies to throw at defenses with Cash Jones and Andrew Paul in the mix as well.
The SEC will be incredibly deep this season, and Georgia’s stable of running backs could win games in the fourth quarter. Pairing a loaded backfield with star quarterback Carson Beck will make the Bulldogs extremely dangerous next season.
