NY Yankees players receive ‘Fighting Wiener Dog’ hockey jerseys from SF Stampede

On Wednesday, the New York Yankees posted photos and videos of two players showing off custom hockey jerseys from the Sioux Falls Stampede hockey team.
The New York Yankees X (formerly Twitter) account showed Aaron Judge and Anthony Rizzo getting Sioux Falls Stampede “Fighting Wiener Dog” hockey jerseys.
The two MLB players are both dog dads to their own dachshunds, and the names of their fur babies were custom-printed on the jerseys.
“No way… Kevin is ready to become famous. This is sick,” said Anthony Rizzo as he opened his gift.
“Are you serious… and we got Penny and Gus on the back? Are you kidding me? I gotta wear this everywhere,” said Aaron Judge.
At the Sioux Falls Stampede’s latest Wiener Dog Races night in February, a record-setting 11,025 fans attended the event. The team sells the jerseys to raise funds for Dakota Dachshund Rescue.
