The deadline for players to submit paperwork for formal declaration for the NFL draft is January 15, and Ward’s decision aligns with the timeline, signaling his readiness to take on the challenges of the NFL.
The quarterback began his college career at the FCS program Incarnate Word before making the move to Washington State for his final two seasons.
In his first season with the Cougars, Ward showcased his abilities by throwing for 3,232 yards and recording 23 touchdowns.
Last season, Ward continued to impress and established himself as a formidable presence on the field. He ranked eighth in the country in passing, accumulating impressive stats with 3,736 yards and 25 touchdowns. These performances have undoubtedly contributed to his decision to enter the NFL draft, where he will now look to make a mark at the professional level.
