Roberto De Zerbi won’t compromise Brighton style despite gunning for Europe
Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi has no intention of changing his style as the race for European football goes down to the wire.
The 43-year-old saw his side defeat Arsenal in their last Premier League outing to move up to sixth place If they finish there, they will qualify for Europe.

De Zerbi was happy his side did not forget their principles against the title-challenging Arsenal. They played fearlessly and won 3-0.
As the fight for European places intensifies, De Zerbi has no intention of changing how his team plays.
De Zerbi said (via Brighton’s official website): “I can decide how I lose, not how I can win, and I want to lose playing this style. I want to lose playing with this courage, trying to command the play, the game.
“Sometimes you can lose, but it is my style, and the players are with me. They believe in my idea.”
De Zerbi believes his side was still celebrating their 1-0 victory over Manchester United when they lost 5-1 to Everton last Monday.
The Italian warned his players against making the same mistake against Newcastle United tomorrow.
“We have to forget we won at Arsenal otherwise we will lose 100 percent to Newcastle,” he added. “We have 58 points, which is not enough to qualify for the Europa League.
“There are another four tough games left, and we have to fight to reach our target.”
Brighton go into tomorrow’s game against a Newcastle side chasing their first top-
four finish since 2003.
